Concrete Wall TV Mounting

Concrete and cinder-block walls are common in condos, townhomes, and modern Los Angeles buildings. They are extremely strong, but they require special tools and anchors that standard drywall screws cannot provide.

Why concrete is different

Standard wood screws and plastic wall anchors will not grip concrete. The material is too dense, and the threads will spin freely or crumble the hole. To mount a TV on concrete, you need a hammer drill, masonry bits, and expansion anchors or concrete sleeve bolts rated for the weight of the screen.

How we mount on concrete

Dust and noise

Concrete drilling is louder and dustier than a drywall install. We bring drop cloths, vacuum attachments, and plastic sheeting to protect your floors and furniture. A typical concrete mount takes a little longer, but the result is a rock-solid bracket that will never loosen.

Best mounts for concrete

Concrete can handle any bracket type. Because the wall is so strong, full-motion arms are especially popular — the masonry can easily support the extension load when the arm pulls out from the wall. Tilting and fixed mounts also work perfectly for a clean, low-profile look.

When to book a professional

If you do not own a hammer drill or the right masonry anchors, do not risk a crooked or weak mount. One missed hole in concrete is permanent. We drill once, correctly, and leave the bracket level and secure.
