Outdoor TV Mounting

Mounting a TV outside — on a patio, pergola, or exterior wall — is one of the best upgrades for a Los Angeles home. It turns a backyard into an entertainment area, but it also comes with weather, glare, and wiring challenges that indoor installs do not have.

Use an outdoor-rated TV

Indoor TVs are not built for rain, dust, or direct sun. Even under a covered patio, heat and humidity can damage internal parts and void the warranty. We recommend outdoor-rated models like Samsung Terrace or SunBrite, which are designed for temperature swings, moisture, and bright light.

Choose a weatherproof mount

Outdoor mounts are made from rust-resistant materials such as powder-coated steel or aluminum. They are rated for wind, rain, and UV exposure. A full-motion outdoor mount is especially useful because it lets you turn the screen away from the sun or stow it flat against the wall when not in use.

Our outdoor installation process

Glare and placement tips

Choose a spot with natural shade, or add a tilting mount so you can reduce glare during afternoon sun. South- and west-facing walls get the most direct light. If shade is limited, an anti-glare outdoor screen is worth the investment.

Power and wiring

Outdoor power must be GFCI-protected. If no outlet is nearby, we partner with licensed electricians to add one safely. We never run indoor extension cords or leave connections exposed to the elements.

When to book with us

Outdoor installs involve more than a bracket and screws. If you want a TV that survives LA heat, Santa Ana winds, and occasional rain, let us handle the mount, seals, and wiring from the start.
